A bit of our history

We dedicate ourselves to the production of young ornamental plant for professionals, working exclusively by order. Our current production is about 7.5 million plants per year, with about 80% for exportation. We have 3,5ha of covered area, 1,5ha of open air and 16ha of mother plant fields and we work with around 1000 varieties.

Why do we exist? To answer the market’s needs, promoting customer satisfaction and fidelization but without putting aside what motivates us: to create economic, social and environmental value.

Where do we want to go? Our future is to continue to offer the best quality/price ratio to the customer while keeping our innovative character and excellent environmental and social standards. We will continue to work with a focus on the customer, with a young and motivated team, and always keeping the values that characterize us: honesty, responsibility and dedication.

2022

We started sales to Romania, Poland and Greece;
We won again the “Inovadora COTEC” Status and the “PME Líder” Status and kept the MPS A+ Certification

2021

We won again the “PME Líder” status, kept the MPS A Certification and, for the first time, we have been awarded the “Inovadora COTEC” and “PME Excelência” statutes

2020

We started sales to Denmark, achieved MPS Certification and won “PME Líder” status again

We started sales for Belgium

We started sales to England and Italy

2012

We won the “PME Líder” status and the company’s manager won the “Jovem Agricultor” award, an initiative promoted by Correio da Manhã with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Continente

We started sales for France

2006

We became market leaders in Galicia (young outdoor plant) and the company’s manager was a finalist in the “Jovem Agricultor” contest, promoted by the AGRO program and AJAP (honorable mention)

2005

We became market leaders in Portugal (young outdoor plant) and started sales to the Netherlands

2004

We started production in a more intensive and methodical way, selling mainly to Portugal and Spain

We started production at an experimental stage

With the knowledge and experience of the team members in the ornamental plants sector, it was perceptible the growing importance and the great potential of outdoor ornamental production in our region. However, to start this project, it would be necessary a great specialization and the sales should also be directed to the external market. After this diagnostic phase, the three key questions of the process arise:

What to do?
The answer to this point was relatively easy: meet the market needs. To make it possible to meet these needs it was crucial to find partnerships, especially in terms of commercialization, since this stage of the chain requires a lot of professionalism and specialization.

How to do it?
The team’s experience and technical knowledge allied to the collaboration with suppliers, clients, partners and public entities were elements of great importance to achieve productions of excellent quality.

Where to do it?
This would be the most complicated question to answer, since in this region the land is small and with speculative prices per m2. After acquiring the land with the necessary characteristics, it was possible to move forward, presenting a project that was intended, from the beginning, to become a model in the region.

Our people

We currently have about 70 employees, including 8 graduate technicians in the agricultural area. We seek to keep the team young and dynamic in order to meet the challenges that arise, especially in the area of innovation.

Social and environmental responsibility

We are not only committed to economic profitability, but also to the promotion of socio-cultural conditions, in particular by supporting institutions in the region and providing employment to local populations
We rent out fields for cultivation, many of which were abandoned, contributing to the reduction of fire risk and to the increase of biodiversity
To raise environmental awareness in society, there is a need for pedagogical action directed at future generations; this way, we try to actively contribute to the social formation of students by receiving visits from schools and universities
